I just love this whole concept of learning from others to help you live your version of success. It is something I practice and preach about a lot. Collaboration and surrounding yourself with positive, like-minded, successful people is how we become leaders and change makers, role-models to show the world that we can be successful on our own terms.
Another of my favourite sayings is 'we become the average of the 5 people we spend the majority of our time with,' so ask yourself who that is and if you're ok with that.
Too many of us have spent valuable time and energy striving for other peoples idea of what perfect and success looks like. Letting go of perfect is the most liberating feeling and accepting that no one else is going to understand in it's entirety what success means to you - so screw em!
You do you and let everybody else do the same. Don't be afraid of changing your mind, go with your gut, find the 5 people you want to be like and remember how you feel is more important than what you do. Your version of success is right around the corner...
One thing I learned from them is there is more than one way to achieve success. Many of the ways to achieve success are counter-intuitive to what we are taught. There are many women who decided to step out of the workforce, be home and then go back an entirely different career. Many achieved things not by saying "Yes," to everything but by saying a firm "No."
